Second half of the game saw a more determine rams and started to put some nice ball movement together a last a good run down the left side saw J. Omerod push threw two defenders and put a nice shot on goal to see the ball fly over the keepers head and to make the score line all tied up. Rams keep on dominating the second half and four minutes later saw J. Final score Rams 3 - Rage 1.

Sunday taken on Sydney Wanders.

Rams 13/s started the game the way they finished on Saturday with one of their best passing performance of the year Rams never look like losing the game they were always in control and some they attack and attack only to be denied a couple of chances Rams keep attacking down the left hand side a saw a another nice run from c. mccue to off load to J. Saturday the 18th of April taking on  Parramatta pcyc was going to be a tough assignment for our lads as the pcyc side as been together for a while and have been putting together some good wins. the game start at a frantic pace for pcyc and we found our self under attack again and again only to have our defence hold strong the first half continued the same way pretty much right through.

PCYC kept on making goal scoring chances only to be denied by our defence once again.. first half score line rams 0 pcyc 0.

Second half saw a more determine rams and started to put a few pass together. pcyc then counter attack again with some fine football only to be denied again with some good defence. We finally crack through a long range effort from the pcyc player which any keeper would have had trouble stopping. PCYC went to the lead 1 nil our boys never gave up and a tactical postion made by coach garriock saw rams attack  alittle more and in the 52 mintue saw a nice shot from j spedding to equalize .

Rams look like holding on for a much deserved draw only to see the pcyc striker get hold of the ball from half way in the 33rd minute of the second half and beat two defenders before a last ditch effort from j.toogood could not stop the pcyc player getting his shot away which saw the back of the net, which apparently was scored in time added on by the referrees because they cut short the first half and played the second half longer.

Must sound like sore grapes no the better side won but our side desevered a draw.

keep the heads up lads as that pcyc side is a very talent team and to hold them to that scores line was a job well done.

we take on blacktown spartans next week on friday night at francis pk 6.30 pm .

Playing our second home game at Lynwood Park, the lads come out with all guns blazing and in amatter of minutes they had their first goal  with good lead up work from j. mcnight which found the northern tigers stretch to clear there line.

The ball came back to twenty yards out were j. toogood put in a low hard shot which look like going in only to take a defelection which went across the six yard box were r.perre pounced on it to put the ball in the back of the net. Rams leading one nil.

The n/tigers were appling there own pressure only for our goal keeper D. Zanatta to deny them.

More good work threw the midfield saw a good ball to J. Kcnight which he left the defence in tatters and slotted the ball past the n/tigers goal keeper.

Rams leading two nil after fifteen minutes.

N/Tigers kept appling pressure only to see the ball sail over the cross bar. Not long after Rams defence buckle a touch to let the n/tigers back into the game n/tigers scoring in the 25th minute. Five minutes out from half time saw a clearence pass from j.toogood to d.zecevic who beat one player to send j.spedding on a run which saw him dazzle the defence and power the third goal home. Half time score saw rams leading three / one.

Second half was topsy turvey in which each  team had good scoring chances. The score line did not change and our defence work had to keep the tigers scoreless final score Rams three n/tigers one.

A good result, all players worked hard.

21 March 09

Good to be back at Lynwood Park. Our opening games at Lynwood Park kicked off in good style on the weekend, with good results.

The Under 13/s were coming off a loss in the first round away to Central Coast and had a lot to improve on in which they did they took the game to West Panthers straight from the start.

With a fine long range shot from ALEX Smith to hit the back of the net. The Rams going into dressing rooms at half time playing with confidence and up one nil.

Pretty much the same in the second half with The Rams dominating most of the half the second goal come from some good work from S.Irwin and R. Perre slotting away a neat goal rams two west panthers nil.

Panthers apllied pressure in the last five minute of the game where the rams wear feet started to tell a little.  The pressure kept coming from panthers and finally we crack and the panthers scored to make the final score rams two west panthers one.

A fine effort put in by all players .... from the Flock.
